Hey kids!!! There's a bit of a flurry of activity happening of late in the land o' de olde WILDEBEESTS. Yes indeed, this weekend September 14 - 16 2007 THE WILDEBEESTS will in fact be tearing up a few stages hither and thon. Friday 14 Sept sees the group make their first visit to London in something like 7 years, to play at The Dirty Water Club, at The Boston Arms in Tufnell Park...then it's a hop skip and a trip on the ferry over to France to play in Paris at La Mecanique Ondulatoire on Saturday 15 Sept, then back to London for an early FREE! show at Stoke Newington's Birdcage / Corn Rocket Club. There shall be wares on sale at these gigs too...so if you be there, you will be able to purchase all manner of little and big plastic thingies, and even their world-famous Gnu-Sonic Tee Shirt ! Wait...there be even more. THE WILDEBEESTS will also have a new 7" single out very soon on the Slovenly label from USA, pairing a great new vibrant cut called 'Pointless' with a remastered, remodeled, re-released issue of thee old stage favourite, 'One And One'. This of course was already issued on a black plastic frisbee a few years back in USA on the Sympathy For The Record Industry label. More 'Pointless' details to follow soon...
STOP PRESS!!! STOP PRESS!!! THE WILDEBEESTS will also be partaking in the 2007 New York Cavestomp Party in Brooklyn, New York, USA on Sunday November 4. Also on the bill with The Wildebeests that night, will be 1960s garage-gods THE SONICS!!!
